Environmentally Friendly Design
We recognize the importance of taking care of our environment and we are doing our part by designing energy efficient lighting systems manufactured with components that are free of hazardous chemicals.
In-house efforts
No better place to start being green than at home, right? Well, we thought so too, and that is why we have implemented internal programs geared toward saving our environment:
- Upgraded all lighting to energy efficient lights
- Recycling programs for:
- Old lights
- Monitors
- Computers
- Cell phones
- Paper
- Aluminum
LED-based lighting systems
Light-emitting diodes (LEDs) have been around for more than 40 years, but until recently, they were only used as indicators in electronic devices. In the past 20 years, technological developments and a rapidly increasing demand for environmentally friendly products have allowed the use of LEDs to replace light bulbs in a wide variety of applications because of their many benefits.
Benefits:
- Long life – 50,000 hours
- Energy savings - 5x more efficient than incandescent bulbs
- Reduced heat in the beam
- Durable – LEDs do not have fragile filaments
Applications:
- Medical and dental lighting
- Analytical Instrumentation
- Transportation
- Architectural
- Industrial

Green Materials
As part of the design process, our design engineers are required to select RoHS compliant materials. By eliminating harmful materials such as lead, mercury, cadmium and hexavalent chromium from our designs, we reduce the harmful chemicals that reach the soil once a product is no longer in use. Through this process, we guarantee that we are doing our part for a greener future.
Our long term commitment
Our core purpose is to help our customers make the world a brighter, healthier, safer and greener place to live.
