Controller
We are currently seeking a Controller with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or
Finance plus CPA certification with five to ten years experience in public
practice. As a Controller, you will assist the President with the financial
affairs of the organization and with preparation of financial analysis of
operations for the guidance of management. This position works closely with
other department management on the creation, collection, reporting and analysis
of key financial information.
The following are the essential functions of the position:
- Preparation of monthly Financial Reporting Package based on Generally Accepted Accounting Principles to include the following:
- Detailed review of all transactions recorded in the company’s books and records
- Coordination of Month-End Close Process
- Creation of reporting tools to manage productivity, quality, and profitability of various product lines
- Analysis of actual to budget variances
- Works with the operations team on analysis of production costs, inventory costs, and other cost factors and provides guidance on procedural improvements.
- Coordinates with various department managers on the creation of expense and product line budgets.
- Establishes and maintains systems and controls that verify the integrity of
all systems, processes and data, and enhances the company’s value.
- Treasury Management which includes the oversight of accounts receivables, accounts payable, and various credit facilities.
- Coordination of the year-end closing process which includes coordination with outside tax professionals.
- Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies.
- Participates in a wide variety of special projects and compiles a variety of special reports.

Sales Engineer
We are currently seeking a Sales Engineer with a B.S in
Engineering, or related discipline, and a minimum of five years
experience in technical sales. As a Technical Sales
Representative, you will sell Optoelectronics/lighting products
using technical, organizational, and customer knowledge to
influence customers and assist them in applying the products to
their needs. In addition, the position provides input and
participates in the marketing, market planning, and technical
development of products and services.
The following are the essential functions of the position:
- Researches various target markets and develops lists of
potential customers.
- Calls on new and existing engineers, architects, or other
professional and technical personnel at commercial, industrial,
and other establishments and attempts to convince prospective
client of desirability and practicability of products or
services offered.
- Participates in development of new products, modification of
existing products, and termination of ineffective products.
- Maintains an up-to-date working knowledge of newly
developing technologies and manufacturing practices.
- Obtains and coordinates data to keep track of target
customers.
- Summarizes collected market information and sales activity
for management.
- Determines and participates in market strategies and goals
for each market, product and territory as required.
- Develops and maintains communications in a cooperative and
professional manner with all levels of staff, employees and
customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related
technical field
- 5 years of experience in technical sales
- Experience in selling Medical or Lighting products is a plus!
- Experience in opto-electronics is a plus!
- Ability to work independently with excellent written and
verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with MS applications
- Domestic and International travel will be required
