Color Control
Opto Technology specializes in full color spectral control combining multiple wavelengths of LEDs to maintain good color mixing and uniform intensity without color separation over time and temperature. Active feedback circuitry, as well as LED bin sorting and matching, is utilized to deliver accurate colors and a wide color gamut.
Key Capabilities
- Color mixing – we achieve specific white color temperatures (CCT) and high color rendering values (CRI) using RGB and RGBA with active feedback control and LED bin sorting and matching
- Optics – we design custom light guides and secondary optics to achieve well blended colors without rings or color separation
- LED binning – we can individually control colors to a precise range of +/-5 nanometers
- Phosphor-custom phosphor mixing with chip-on-board packaging to meet specific CCT and CRI values
- Filters – further color control is added with the use of filters to narrow the color spectrum even more
- Thermal – thermal heating and cooling are used to maintain consistent junction temperatures to eliminate color shift due to temperature fluctuations
