Our History

Opto Technology started in 1973 as a company focusing on complicated sensing solutions for applications ranging from microfiche sensors to high speed mail sorting equipment. As the company grew, we expanded our sensor product line into the biomedical arena in applications such as Blood Analyzers, DNA Thermal Cycling and Urine Analysis. In the most recent years, Opto Technology has leveraged its 30 years of experience in LEDs and optics into the Solid State Lighting Marketplace.

Opto Technology's focus in the solid state lighting marketplace is in UV, medical lighting, analytical instrumentation, transportation signaling and industrial illumination.

On May 12th, 2005, Opto Technology, Inc. received certification for ISO-9001:2000 by NSF International Strategic Registrations. This certification further strengthens our commitment to customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
